The Jurong Point Shopping Centre Extension Building is developed following the overwhelming succeess of Jurong Point Building 1. LED lighting is used to accentuate the evolution to clean and modern materials and this is expressed in the form of a ribbon wrapped around the building. The colours of gigantic ribbon can be changed to suit the different times of the year as a form of expression and interaction in the urban context.
Similar concept is adopted in the interior design of the mall with seamless line and contemporary space being carried out into the ceiling element as discrete as possible to keep the identity of the space and architectural facade intact.
Landscape lighting at the entrance of the mall is subtly lit with warm light tone so as not to steal the limelight from facade lighting which is the main theme for the Jurong Point.
